National Indigenous Music awards 2026: Baker Boy wins big, including album and song of the year
Baker Boy dominated the 2026 National Indigenous Music Awards (Nimas), winning album, song, and film clip of the year for his sophomore album Djandjay, which he dedicated to his late grandmother. The Yolŋu hip-hop artist's hit single "Thick Skin" also won song and film clip of the year, featuring collaborations with Indigenous artists Thelma Plum, Emma Donovan, Kee'ahn, and Jada Weazel. Other notable winners included Birdz and Fred Leone as artist of the year and Drifting Clouds as best new talent.
