Restriction zone scheme for offenders to start in October

A new restriction zone scheme will begin in October that limits where serious violent and sexual offenders can travel after their release from prison. Under this probation-based system, offenders may be confined to small geographic areas of only a few miles, significantly restricting their freedom of movement.
