NASA's Curiosity Rover Discovers Polygons on Mars
NASA's Curiosity rover has discovered an extensive field of honeycomb-shaped polygonal fractures covering a Martian valley called Valle Grande. While Curiosity has previously photographed these unusual terrain formations, this represents the first time such a large concentration has been found, with individual polygons measuring between 1.5 to 3 inches wide.
