Qantas tests new ultra-long-range Airbus in 17,000km direct flight from France to Melbourne
Qantas has successfully tested its new Airbus A350-1000ULR ultra-long-range aircraft on a 19-hour nonstop flight covering 17,000km from Toulouse, France to Melbourne. The aircraft, which became the most tracked plane on flight tracking websites, is designed to enable Qantas to operate some of the world's longest commercial routes as part of its Project Sunrise initiative.
