Spotify expands AI remix project with Merlin partnership

Spotify has expanded its AI remix and covers project by partnering with Merlin, which represents over 30,000 independent labels and distributors, joining Universal Music Group in support. The upcoming paid tool will allow fans to create AI-generated covers and remixes of participating artists' music while guaranteeing that artists opt in, receive proper credit, and are compensated for their work.
