Two Russian men jailed in Angola for terrorism and spying
Two Russian men, Lev Lakshtanov and Igor Ratchin, have been convicted by an Angolan court of terrorism and spying for their alleged involvement in planning a coup and organizing deadly demonstrations over fuel prices. Lakshtanov and Ratchin received sentences of eight and 11 years respectively, despite claiming they were in Angola solely for cultural and business purposes.
