Australia's Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) has issued warnings for popular GLP-1 drugs including Ozempic and Mounjaro over links to a rare but severe eye disorder called NAION that can cause blindness. The regulator updated product information after 36 cases of the condition were reported among users of these diabetes and weight loss medications. The warning affects multiple GLP-1 receptor agonist medicines currently marketed in Australia.
