Over 81,000 U.S. soldiers missing from past wars, one may be identified

The Department of Defense has exhumed the remains of an unidentified World War II soldier buried in Sitka, Alaska for decades, in an effort to identify him. This case is part of a larger effort to account for over 81,000 U.S. soldiers still missing from past conflicts. Modern identification techniques may finally provide answers and closure for this soldier's family and the many others still unaccounted for.
