NSW funding boost launches Aboriginal family program

The NSW government has invested $350 million to launch a new Aboriginal family preservation program designed to keep at-risk Indigenous children with their families while allowing them to maintain their cultural identities. Co-designed by First Nations families and Aboriginal Community-Controlled Organisations, the program takes a holistic approach to child protection and aims to reduce the overrepresentation of Aboriginal children in out-of-home care.
