Haitians face arrest and deportation after US removes TPS protections

The Trump administration has officially revoked Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for hundreds of thousands of Haitians, clearing the way for arrests and deportations despite the dangerous conditions in Haiti. A federal judge's order blocking the DHS action has been lifted following a controversial Supreme Court ruling in June that restricted judicial review of the TPS program. DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated the agency is actively pursuing enforcement against Haitians currently in the United States.
