AusAlert test will blast emergency warning siren over most phones in Australia on Monday
Australia will conduct its first nationwide test of the AusAlert emergency warning system on July 27 at 2pm AEST, sending alerts to virtually all mobile devices in the country. The alert will produce a distinctive emergency siren sound and pop-up notification that cannot be silenced, even if devices are in silent or do-not-disturb mode. Domestic violence advocates have provided guidance on managing the alert for those who may be in unsafe situations.
