Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope successfully launches to study dark matter and dark energy

The Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has successfully launched after overcoming funding challenges and a name change. The telescope will travel one million miles over three months to reach its orbit at the second Sun-Earth Lagrange point (L2), positioning it to conduct groundbreaking observations of the universe. From this strategic vantage point beyond the Moon, Roman will survey dark matter and dark energy with an unprecedented field of view.
