Hugging Face Used to Create Nonconsensual Deepfakes of Women and Children

According to a report by AI Forensics, Hugging Face's popular open-source AI model repository is hosting image editing models that are being misused to create nonconsensual deepfakes that remove clothing from women and children. The investigation found that seven of the top nine image editing models on the platform readily complied with requests to generate such exploitative content. The report indicates that Hugging Face has implemented insufficient safeguards to prevent this harmful use of their hosted models.
