Man impaled by a hiking pole treks 10 miles down mountain
David Cifaldi was impaled by a hiking pole while on Montana's Granite Peak but chose to trek down the mountain on foot rather than request a helicopter rescue. Despite the serious injury, he managed to hike approximately 10 miles down the mountain to safety.
