Comcast adds motion detection capabilities to home routers

Comcast is deploying Wi-Fi motion sensing technology to millions of existing Xfinity routers through an app update, enabling them to detect activity in customers' homes at no additional cost. This feature is being introduced as part of Comcast's new Xfinity Shield service, expanding the capabilities of routers already installed in customer locations.
