TikTok to pay $400m to US in one of largest child privacy settlements
TikTok has agreed to pay $400 million to the United States in one of the largest child privacy settlements on record. The settlement resolves a 2024 lawsuit that accused TikTok and parent company ByteDance of illegally collecting vast amounts of personal data from millions of users under 13 years old.
