Syngenta to stop selling paraquat herbicide in Australia

Syngenta has announced it will discontinue the sale of paraquat herbicide in Australia following new regulatory restrictions imposed by the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority. Paraquat, which is already banned in over 70 countries due to its link to Parkinson's disease, has become commercially unviable for the company under the new regulations.
