SpaceX plans Starlink Mobile satellite service to compete with major carriers

SpaceX is claiming that its upcoming Starlink Mobile service will outperform existing major carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Rather than constructing traditional large cell towers, the company plans to deploy small base stations throughout the United States to deliver its satellite-based mobile coverage.
