Book returned to Australian library 150 years overdue
An Australian library in Kiama, south of Sydney, has received an extraordinary return of a book that was approximately 150 years overdue. The 1858 publication "Antiquities of Athens" was discovered by a homeowner inside a tea crate that had been bricked into a sealed fireplace during home renovations. The man returned the historical book to the library, ending one of the longest overdue book incidents on record.
